Since 2010, I have been supporting artists in the design and development of Public Art projects. Building from my interdisciplinary background in design and visual art, I collaborate with artists, architects, landscape architects, structural engineers, fabricators, public art consultants and municipal teams to bring ambitious public art projects to life.
Primarily, I work with artists on the development and execution of public art proposals, and provide design, project management and consulting for commissioned public art projects. I have significant experience across all phases of public art projects, including concept proposal development, detail design, fabrication and installation.
Artistic intent, project viability, and truth to materials are at the forefront of my work throughout these collaborations.
My services for public art include:
Consulting on concepts and their iterations to offer considered solutions that appropriately reflect artistic intent through form and function while addressing fabrication, deadline and budget constraints.
Consulting on the development and refinement of concept proposals, and visual communication of these concept via sketches, drawings, models, concept renders and comprehensive proposal packages.
Preparing and reviewing detail design, construction drawing sets, maintenance packages and public art plans.
Coordinating with professionals both in studio and on site to troubleshoot design solutions and ensure delivery of high quality installations that maintain artistic integrity.
